Dorset Golf Union vote for Unification. 
The DCGU voted unanimously for unification with the DLCGA at their AGM today . 
As the DLCGA voted in favour 2 weeks ago  Dorset Golf is now a unified County . 

There were concerns from some clubs at the DCGU meeting regarding the details of the incorporation of Dorset Golf and the proposed articles . 
As such further work will now take place to address these issues and will then be brought back to members in due course for approval. 

There will now be a transitional phase while the 2 organisations merge systems and procedures. 

Competitions and events booked for this year will go ahead as planned. 

Volunteers and Dorset Golf Executives have adopted the red lion logo and cobalt shirt for the transitional period . 

Please can we ask for your patience and understanding through this challenging transitional phase as there is a lot of work to do and we have  already started the golf season.
